Ravishankar Nair, currently is the CEO of PassionBytes, a Florida based information technology company providing consultancy to many fortune 500 companies around the globe in the field of distributed computing, big data and cloud services. Ravi works heavily on big data eco-system and works with Presto since its inception as open source. He has done Presto implementations and use cases in many global organizations in financial, healthcare, transportation and logistics domains. Earlier, he was SVP at Citibank handling business intelligence and big data for LATAM, U.S and Singapore. Ravi’s industrial know-how and wide speaking experience coupled with great passion for teaching would be a key differentiator. Through his thought provoking lectures, Ravi always seeks opportunities to help instill and encourage passion with engaging discussions and consultancy throughout. He is an ACM professional member and technical reviewer of the book “Mastering Hadoop 3” by Packt publishing. He lives in Florida.
